7.2 magnitude earthquake hits Upper Punjab and northern areas

Lahore: A big7.2 magnitude earthquake jolted Upper Punjab and Northern Areas of the country today.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), earthquake was measured 7.2 on the Richter Scale. However, no causalities or damages have been reported yet.
Director Met Office Zahid Rafiq told media that the epicenter of earthquake was recorded in Tajikistan’s mountainous areas.
The earthquake shocks were felt in Azad Kashmir, Islamabad, Sargodha, Mardan, Gilgit Baltistan, Malakand division, Mansehra and other adjoining areas. People in fear came out of their houses and offices in various cities. Further report would be updated soon.
