Pak Army delegation meets Afghan officials

A top-level Pakistan Army delegation had a meeting with Afghanistan’s Defence Minister Tariq Shah Bahramee and the Afghan Army Chief Gen Mohammad Sharif Yaftali today.

The delegation headed by Chief of General Staff Lt Gen Bilal Akbar is on Afghanistan’s visit upon the direction of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Bajwa.

The delegation assured Afghan officials that Pakistan’s soil won’t be used against Afghanistan and that the Pak Army has control of all the areas of the Pakistani side of the border.

The bilateral border coordination measures were discussed during the meeting. The Pak delegation conveyed condolences over the loss of lives in the Mazar-e-Sharif attack, on behalf of COAS Gen Bajwa. The delegation also offered free medical treatment to the injured in the Mazar-e-Sharif attack.

Lt Gen Akbar said, “Terrorists are a common threat and will be defeated once and for all.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a video one day ago, showing former TTP spokesperson Ehsanullah Ehsan. He confessed in the video that India and Afghanistan fund the militant organizations for sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan.
