Pakistan’s three One-day series with West Indies is going in favor of Pakistan and the chances of Pakistan’s direct qualification in the ICC World Cup-2019 are increasing. Pakistan won the three One-day series with West Indies by 2-1 and its ranking now has reached to 90 points.
According to the rules set by ICC, seven other countries including the host England have to qualify directly for the World Cup by Sept 30, 2017 on the basis of their ICC world ranking. The rest four teams then will have to qualify through a qualifying round which will result in total 12 teams in the event.
During this current three One-day series with West Indies, Babar Azam made 154 runs including his century with 125 not out. He has improved his ICC ranking and made him to rank on 8th place in ICC ranking. Hafeez has also made himself in top twenties with his 201 runs in the series.
