KARACHI: It is clearly visible that the rangers have played a very good and impressive role in Sindh, especially in Karachi. The targeted operation in the Pakistan’s financial hub ended with peaceful and positive results.
According to the reports, the ‘special powers’ bestowed upon the Rangers paramilitary force expired at midnight last night.
The paramilitary force enjoyed special powers that allow them to conduct raids, detain and interrogate suspects for up to 120 days. The previous extension granted in August of this year, expired at midnight yesterday.
According to sources the summary for extension of the special powers was sent to Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah but it has not been approved.
The improving law and order situation in Karachi and security arrangements on different events in Karachi are witness of the best role of Sindh rangers in the metropolis.
Now, the question is that will Sindh government approve a summary for extension of rangers’ power in Karachi??
This is a very crucial question that needs to be answered as soon as possible.
